Sunday gatherings are the primary way we gather as a community and the time involves some singing, listening to a talk and some space for prayer, followed by pizza and wine together. Also, we have two great kids' groups – Fantails is a group for pre-schoolers led by Sarah with cool toys, books and crafts all ready to go and Falcons is for school age children led by Jody and is packed full of Bible teaching, crafts, games, prayer and access to the awesome Western Park!
3.15pm, Sunday 14 January, Auckland Girls' Grammar
Gate 2, 70 Howe Street, Freemans Bay
Chapel is a simple space for seeking God together through the beautiful elements of stillness, silence, sacrament, psalm & song. We gather around the symbols of salt and light; salt in response to the prayer of St Augustine “God, put salt on our lips that we may thirst for You” & the light of a candle reminding us that Jesus is present when we gather.
7-8am Thursday, 18 January, St Columba
92 Surrey Road, Grey Lynn
Alongside our Sunday gathering, groups are focussed on forming community and practicing the way of Jesus, together in Auckland. They are small groups of people meeting through the week in homes, cafes and other venues across Auckland. Groups are the heart-beat of Saint Augustine’s – they are where guests become friends – they are a load of fun and are a great way to get to know people whilst having an impact in this city we love to call home.
