So excited to announce this spiritual formation shot of adrenaline to help kick off 2019 with our new friend and special guest @johnmarkcomer . In our post-Christian, secularised city, 'formatio' invites us to break from routine and ask: what are the cultural narratives, rhythms & rituals forming us, and what does Jesus' life and lifestyle have to say about that? This conversation is for everyone so we’re throwing the doors open with our good friends @wcentralnz & @centralvineyardchurch . Jesus' life – his teachings, his resurrection, his sending the Holy Spirit – disrupted the 1st Century Roman Empire, and we're still feeling the ripple effects today.

The book of Acts tells us the story: how Jesus brings the restorative and life-giving power of God to his beautiful yet broken world. It's as true now as it was then.

Join us this Sunday as Andrew Shamy kicks off a new series unpacking the book of Acts, asking ourselves how, as a Central Auckland church, we can move beyond being merely inspired by the past, to join with the Spirit and help make our city flourish. See you at 3:15!

We're 7 days out from launching the Life Course! Next Tuesday, 21 August, we'll start our six-week journey together, considering big questions about meaning: What meaning do we give our lives? Is there an ultimate meaning to life? And if there is, can we know and experience it?

Held at @cafecrave in Morningside, each evening starts with a delicious meal (for only ten bucks!) followed by a brief talk on the theme of meaning and an opportunity to discuss the topic in smaller groups. Food is served from 7pm and we’ll wrap by 9pm. There’s also an optional day away together on Saturday 22 September, so mark your calendars now.

If you know you're coming, go ahead and register on our website to help us work out catering numbers. In the same breath, if you’re hoping to bring a friend who’s a last-minute type, they’re welcome to just turn up on the day too!
